removing friends

How does one remove friends on Diaspora? I've started playing around with it, adding some of the public/semi-official accounts, but now can't figure out how to remove them. (I may be missing something, since I only signed up a few hours ago, but there's not much help documentation that I can find.)

It looks to me like you do it by going to the "aspect" the friend is in (there's a list on the left side of the screen) and choosing the pencil icon that allows you to edit that aspect. Then the screen that shows you all the people in that aspect allows you to delete anyone you select using a button at the bottom left.

Now, if a person is in more than one aspect, I'm guessing you have to delete them from each one.

Whoops! I accidentally deleted the entire aspect (I'm on my netbook with a tiny screen, and the page didn't scale properly, now I can't create a new one for some reason), but yeah I think you're right.

Also, this distributed networking "pod" system intrigues me, and I'm curious to know how much effect being in different pods causes. So, would you let me know if the way I described the screens is not what you see? Maybe different pods are customizable to some extent and screen layout might be different from pod to pod. I seem to be in the diasp.org pod. What's your username? May I friend you? I am Dragonfly.
